Club Linux Coffs Harbour

A small group, including my troublesome self, is discussing the formation of "The OpenOffice.org Community' Website" along the lines of The Star Office Users' Portal. The site will serve as a portal but also include a forum and other services. The idea for the project emerged out of a very long thread discussing ways of dealing with some shortcomings of the present, main, English forum for OOo users.

The project will require as much support as it can raise. I am hoping that Matthew may be able to help with site design. (He did open the door to the possibility.) Before all those tiresome 'buntu fan boys mention it, I am aware of The Ubuntu Community as another good model. We do, I think, want our own "look". There is a blog spot which will contain reports (if muggins remembers) from the private discussions taking place.

The most important point. The public discussion is on another OOo support forum.
