Club Linux Coffs Harbour

I just came across this article: Do we still need LUGs? It reminded me of our Club. I've twice raised the subject of a mailing list, ho hum. The forum here seems to attract very little interest; Peter must save his questions for the meetings. Could we at least use the forum to discuss some topics for meetings?

Perhaps an email bobbing up occasionally would arouse some interest - then again, perhaps not. I tried emailing a couple of members once, to no avail. I know country towns tend to be backward but surely even people here are aware of emails, blogs, forums and websites.

Software Freedom Day so far has been the only activity besides a monthly meeting. It isn't something which appeals to me but I gather others are interested. Do we need more projects? Would a local Linux computer virus get people's attention?
